Home — A Poem

“Charity starts at home,”
And beauty also.
Your golden hair
Lying straight and smooth,
Your smile, your touch –
It hasn’t been so long
And yet, a lifetime.
Smell of home
Breeds contentment,
Soft pillows on
A firm bed, comfort.
Leaving is
A necessary portion
And a goodness,
But nothing fits
Like coming home again.
